You can turn a single light or group of lights on and off from a single press of a button from another room in your home. You can also turn lights on as you're on the way home from work or even while on vacation to give your home that lived in look when you're away - you can do it all with this kit! Control lamps with the included plug-in Dual-Band LampLinc Dimmers, and replace existing wall switches with the included SwitchLinc Dimmer and KeypadLinc Dimmer. The LampLincs double as a pair of Access Points - relaying RF and powerline signals to other INSTEON-compatible devices in the home. The LampLincs, SwitchLinc and KeypadLinc all have advanced features like an adjustable ramp rate that slowly brings lights on and a preset dim level that stores your preferred choice of 32 brightness levels when turning lights on initially. The KeypadLinc has a built-in dimmer that is controlled by the two large buttons. The 4 smaller buttons can be linked wirelessly to control other lights or appliances in other parts of the house. All buttons feature backlit status LEDs so you can see at a glance which lights have been left on (or off).

This kit also features the use of SmartLinc. SmartLinc allows you to use your web-enabled phone or PDA (designed for optimal use with an iPhone or iPod touch) to access your network and turn your devices off from virtually anywhere. Additionally, SmartLinc allows you to set custom timers - limiting the use of lights based on when you are home or by sunrise and sunset.
